I caught a glimpse of you
Passing by
Carrying your promises
And reminders of my best
Come back
Let me live in your comforting embrace
Let me feel alive and move forward again
I am lost without you
So I'll wait here
With a heavy heart and
My arms open wide
Because I forgive you
I see you there
That russet glow taunts me
You know you make me weak
You know I loathe to stop
I'm the only one of us who knows
That reaching for you is dangerous
You'll make me happy with just one bite
You'll be gone with just one bite
I can't take it any more
That you exist is reason enough
You're in my mouth now
Your taste is heavenly

My Bitter Memories, Chapter 1
The ash slipped off the tip of my cigarette from the involuntary shaking of my hand. Staring at the two-storey house from the footpath, I swept my eyes over the lichen and rust stained roof, the faded chimney that was still missing one of its bricks, the dirty, chipped wall paint, the vine that had overgrown its trellising by ten years and the pot plants filled to the brim with dirt. The steps a few paces from where I stood and the white, stone pots that decorated the high walls were much the same. I dropped the cigarette butt into the small collection I had started in the gutter. It was my fifth one today and it wasn’t even lunch time
I listened as tears of sadness and the laughter of fond memories reverberated off the wooden walls of the small, events centre. Near the entrance on a rectangular table, a book of condolences was filling up steadily. A funeral pamphlet and a small box for donations were spread out around the book for William, a man one either loved or owed.
I turned over an empty glass from another table in the room off to the side and half-filled it with water. I lifted the glass to my lips and scanned the room of faces. My chest tightened when I didn’t find the face I was looking for. Derek. Where was he? When we had had lunch earlier in the week, h
I went to bed earlier last night
Doesn't make a difference
No time like the present?
Have you watching the midnight hours tick by?
Silence is all I want
First from my mind, then outside
One sheep, two sheep, three sheep
...This isn't working
Melatonin kicks in; time for bed
Wide awake
Not again
Just...Just don't
It's not as simple as closing my eyes
The mind never sleeps
Awaken from this dream
Oh, I've not fallen asleep yet
I didn't notice you were there!
I got lost in my own world again.
No set of walls will feel like a prison.
I don't need to leave the house, or my chair, to have fun.
Time spent with family and friends means a lot to me.
But I don't do it just because.
Reading and writing and my love for these don't make me boring.
Living in my own mind comes naturally to me, like breathing.
Of course I don't know what to talk about.
Unless it's deep, meaningful and interesting, I won't say much.
Very good at listening?
I love learning new things and being there for you.

To the end we wait no matter
How long the journey.
